Studying in another European country

Erasmus+ is the answer

Our Erasmus code

Our University’s Erasmus code is D KONSTAN01. Our department’s code is 0311 (ISCED).

We are happy to provide advice and assistance regarding our department’s own exchange agreements with European universities within the Erasmus+ programme.

The department can help you with:

  • Choice of partner university, your application and the selection procedure
  • Advice on the crediting of courses and the actual crediting of courses after you return
  • Signing the Learning Agreement
  • Signing your application for "Auslands-BAföG" (a grant for studies abroad under the Federal Training Assistance Act) and for leave of absence
  • Trouble shooting with courses and in your communication with the partner university before, during and after your stay abroad

The International Office takes care of:

  • All processes related to Mobility Online: The database as well as the Learning Agreement and Grant Agreement documents
  • Information on the online language test and online language courses
  • Grant payments

If you have any questions about leave of absence, please contact the Student Service Centre (SSZ)

Find out more about our partner universities

  • Final Reports online, older Final Reports in the Student Service Centre
  • Ask former outgoing students and current incoming students. Please contact us if this is of interest to you.
  • Search the partner university’s website. Since every website is different, we can’t really tell you how best to find the information you need. One of the most promising search terms is ‘Incoming exchange students X University’. You will often find semester dates under ‘Academic calendar X University’.
  • Use your own search engine to find Experience Reports by students from other universities.

The Outgoing Guide All you need to know about procedures and formalities

I want to go abroad with Erasmus+ - what do I have to do? And when? How does crediting work? And tell me again about the grant? We have put lots of information together for you in our Outgoing Guide and recommend that you read it closely. There are a couple of points where the department deviates from the guide. Please check the four links below:
