Kooperationsseminar mit Kiew: #FinancialInnovations in the #DigitalAge

Over the course of the summer semester 2022, the virtual BA-seminar #FinancialInnovations in the #DigitalAge (SFIDA) took place. The jointly offered seminar was hosted by Prof. Dr. Axel Kind and Prof. Dr. Stephan Schumann in cooperation with Prof. Dr. Iryna Ivanets from the Kyiv National Economic University (KNEU).

SFIDA was made possible and financed by the German Academic Exchange Service - DAAD through the program "IVAC - International Virtual Academic Collaboration" as well as through "Freiraum für die digitale Lehrerinnen- und Lehrerbildung“ with funds from the project „edu4.0 – Lehrerbildung für eine Kultur der digitalen Transformation an Gymnasien und Beruflichen Schulen".

The seminar at the Bachelor level dealt with the opportunities and challenges faced by young secondary-school students in dealing with current developments in the field of financial technologies. In addition to the intercultural collaboration of the students, the focus of the course was primarily on state-of-the art digital teaching, learning, and virtual co-working environments. In internationally-mixed and subject-mixed groups, students from Kyiv and Konstanz developed didactically justified lesson plans that in parts rely on the use of digital media.

Through the scientific and administrative supervision of the project, enabled by the funding of the DAAD and the funds of the edu4.0 project, in the future it will be possible to further improve and continuously develop virtual teaching and virtual international exchanges in the Department of Economics.
