BA Seminar: Development Economics & Policy

In this course, we will study microeconomic approaches to the alleviation of poverty in developing countries, with a focus on causal inference in evaluating outcomes. We will look at a variety of policy domains, including financial well-being, education, and entrepreneurship. This will prepare students for writing their B.A. thesis, where they will be expected to use Stata to replicate and extend the analysis of a published paper. 

Grading:

presentation (50%), exposé (30%), active participation (20%)
