General remarks

The course will be conducted in digital form in the summer semester of 2020. Please note the further information.

Lecture:

Due to Prof. Dr. Sander’s research semester, there will be no lecture with mandatory presence. The block course announced for the beginning of April is cancelled without substitution.

The foundational literature is fully sufficient to study all of the lecture’s topics. It will be available in full and for free from the university’s library and can be accessed from campus or from outside via a VPN-connection.
 


We will point to the relevant pages in our additional “Table of contents”-document in “Materials”.

Tutorials:

The tutorials will be made available as PowerPoint-presentations with audio in the section "Materials". The dates, at which the tutorials will be published, can be seen here. IMPORTANT: According to the "Special edition about the Coronavirus" from 22nd June 2021 the "3G principle" now applies. Participation at the exam review thus requires either a negative test result, a proof of recovery or of vaccination. These will be controlled at the entry.

Description:

The subject of this course are certain individual features of Management (for instance planning, controlling, organization), with explicit references  to the fields of Marketing. Besides the analysis of occurring problems within national markets this course is also dealing with peculiarities of international markets (e.g. choice of the individual foreign market, certain joining strategies, organizational features of international markets). The exam’s contents will involve the relevant pages in the foundational literature, i.e. “Marketing-Management (3rd edition)” aswell as “Internationales Marketing-Management (5thedition)”, and the corresponding tutorials
