Neu hier: Juniorprofessorin Haomin Wang, PhD

Herzlich willkommen am Fachbereich, Haomin Wang, PhD, Juniorprofessorin für Volkswirtschaftslehre

Frau Wang hat unsere Fragen in englischer Sprache beantwortet.

Haomin Wang completed her PhD in Economics at the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 2015. Before joining the University of Konstanz, she has worked as a post-doctoral researcher at Paris School of Economics and DIW Berlin. Her areas of teaching and research interest are labor economics and macroeconomics. She studies topics such as unemployment fluctuations and effects of labor market policies using micro-data and models with labor market frictions.

Ms. Wang, you took up your position as a junior professor in Economics at our department in October. Why did you choose to come to Konstanz?

The economics department has a vibrant and collaborative research environment and is very supportive of junior faculty members. I am very fortunate to become part of the department.

What are your plans for the next year in Konstanz?

Besides research and teaching, I look forward to exploring the area a little more, like going hiking in the Black Forest.

Do you already have a favourite spot in Konstanz?

Konstanz is gorgeous in the Fall. I have really enjoyed walking on the trail along Lake Constance to the “Hörnle”. The old town is very charming too.
