How to Apply
We welcome applications for the Master's Programme in Economics from graduates with an above-average Bachelor's degree in economics or a subject that provides a sufficient quantitative background, such as business administration, mathematics or the natural sciences. Students in their final year of their Bachelor's degree course, who have not yet graduated, are also welcome to apply.
Applicants should have a keen interest in economic theory and empirical methods, and their application to real-world economic phenomena. In addition, applicants should possess strong analytical and quantitative skills.
The application deadline for admission in October is 15th April.
Simply fill out the application form and send with the requested supporting documents listed in the application form by 15th April.

Admission Requirements
- An above average Bachelor's degree from a recognised university in economics or a subject that provides a sufficient quantitative background, e.g. business administration, mathematics, the natural sciences, etc. The grade point average of your Bachelor's degree should at least correspond to the German grade 2.5 (good). Students in the final year of their Bachelor's degree, who have not yet graduated, are welcome to apply.
- Evidence of knowledge acquired in mathematics, statistics, or economics during your Bachelor's degree course.
- A curriculum vitae in English.
- A one-page statement of purpose written in English showing your suitability and motivation for pursuing the Master's programme.
- Evidence of a sufficient command of English from one of the following English language tests: Cambridge Certificate of Proficiency in English (minimum grade: C), IELTS (minimum grade: 6.5) or TOEFL (minimum grade: 92 Internet-based points, 237 computer-based points, or 580 paper-based points).
- Two letters of recommendation from university teachers who are able to comment on your suitability and motivation for participating in the Master's programme.
- Results of the GRE test (Graduate Record Examinations).
